The Libyan Foreign Affairs Minister, Ashour Ben Khayal, received, separately, on Thursday morning, the newly appointed ambassadors of Iran, Spain and . . .[restrict]Palestine.
Iranian Ambassador Mai Hassan Akbari Dard, Spanish Ambassador José Riera Siquier and Palestinian Ambassador Mutawakkil Taha presented copies of credentials as representatives of their countries to Libya.
The Iranian ambassador conveyed Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmedinejad’s warm greetings to NTC chairman Mustafa Abdul Jalil and to the Libyan people for the victory of the glorious revolution. The meeting was attended by the director of the ministry’s Asian affairs department Abdel-Mohsen Ghoneim,
For his part, the Spanish Ambassador praised the progress Libya has achieved in different fields despite the difficulties faced by the Libyan government. He expressed Spain’s desire to strengthen and develop relations between the two countries in several fields. The meeting was attended by the director of the ministry’s European affairs department, Al-Hadi Sibae.
The Palestinian Ambassador conveyed the greetings of the Palestinian foreign minister and wished the Libyan government every success.
The new ambassadors will present their credentials to the NTC chairman, Mustafa Abdul Jalil, on 25 April.
