Benghazi, 5 December 2013:
In two separate incidents this morning, a young cadet and a member of the Special Forces were killed . . .[restrict]by gunshots to the head.
Army cadet Salah Al-Warfalli was shot in the head in Benghazi’s Selmani district and Special Forces member Ahmed Tarhouni was killed in the Hay Al-Salam area of the city near the local car market.
Jalaa Hospital confirmed that it received the two bodies of the men today.
Last night the head of the Presidential Guards of Benghazi, Anwar Al-Dous, survived an attempt on his life when an explosive device detonated beneath his car while he was driving on Benghazi’s motorway. He is receiving treatment at Jalaa Hospital but is understood to have lost one of his legs in the blast. [/restrict]
