New head of Air Force operations appointed

Benghazi, 20 July 2015:

The commander of the . . .[restrict]Libyan Air Force, Brigadier-General Saqr Geroushi has appointed the head of the military airbase at Benina in Benghazi, Air Force Colonel Saad Warfali, as head of air force operations. According to the Beida offices of the Libyan new agency LANA, he has been replaced by Colonel Mohamed Manfur Ali Al-Mnifi.

Geroushi was quoted by the agency saying that the two appointments had been approved by the commander of the Libyan armed forces, General Khalifa Hafter and the Chief of Staff, Major-General Abdul Razak Al-Nazhuri.

Born in 1957, and trained at the Yugoslav Air Academy and in Pakistan, Al-Mnifi has been director of Tobruk Airport since 2011 until now.
