Yusuf Al-Shamani, the senior administrator at Mellitah Oil and Gas, who was kidnapped four . . .[restrict]days ago, is reported to have been released unharmed today and now back with his family.
It is not known if a ransom was paid. He was seized by a gang while travelling between Tripoli and Sabratha on Sunday.
The abduction triggered protests by company employees outside the National Oil Corporation’s headquarters in the capital, demanding both Shamami’s release and better security for staff. [/restrict]
