Seven more municipal councils were sworn in yesterday and then elected new mayors for each municipality. Otman . . .[restrict]Gajiji, chairman of the Central Committee for Municipal Council Elections (CCMCE) presided over the election ceremony in Beida.
The mayors elected for each of the seven municipalities are:
- Solug : Bashir Abdullah
- Al-Abyar : Hamdi Saeed
- Gemenis: Mohamed Al-Ashibi
- Gubba : Monsif Saber
- Umm Al-Rizam : Younis Khalifa
- Jardes Al-Abid : Al-Mahdi Mohamed
- Al-Qayqab : Ali Jarbi
The number of elected mayors should reach 52 in the next few days.
