Cairo, May 3:

Shubra police have arrested a 23-year-old Libyan contractor, along with a 40-year-old Egyptian driver who were in possession of . . .[restrict]15 passports stamped with Libyan work visas but with no written personal data or any official endorsements.

According to Egyptian weekly Al-Youm Al-Saba, a further 15 work visas were later discovered, again with no  personal data or any official endorsement as well as visa forms and a cash sum of £E1,350.

The two said that they obtained the visas from Libya and that they were selling them for several thousands Egyptian pounds each to Egyptians wanting to work in Libya.

An investigation into the incident has been started. [/restrict]
