847,000 registered for constitutional elections so far: HNEC

The daily rate of registration for the forthcoming constitutional committee of 60 elections (source: www.hnec.ly).

Tripoli, 29 December 2013:

The High National Elections Commission (HNEC) reported at noon today that it . . .[restrict]has registered 847,428 people on the SMS voter registration system for the forthcoming constitutional “Committee of 60” elections.

Of these, 337,637 are women and 509,791 are men.

Additionally, 4,121 Libyans have been registered to vote outside of Libya, of which 2,929 are men and 1,192 are women.

The highest daily rate of registrations so far was on Friday 19 December 2013, with 50,413 people registering.
