Tripoli, 28 October 2013:

The Ministry of Tourism will be raising Libya’s international profile at the November . . .[restrict]World Travel Market 2013 in London.

“The main aim of our participation is to improve the international image of Libya,” Director of the Ministry’s Tourism Promotion Department, Zakariah Ahmed Abu Zaid, told the Libya Herald. “We want the world to see that Libya is working now, including its institutions and civil society organisations.”

Abu Zaid said the Ministry would not be marketing the actual tourist industry, mainly because of the current security situation, but that the exhibition was a valuable opportunity to boost the country’s image.
