Tripoli, 30 September 2013:
A new vehicle screening system at Tripoli airport means that passengers need to add between . . .[restrict]half and three-quarters of an hour to ensure they check in on time, airlines say.
The vehicle screening is now outside the entrance to the airport and is being rigorously employed, the station chief of one airline told the Libya Herald this evening. As a result, there is a long queue of passengers waiting to get into the terminal.
Getting into Tripoli airport is already viewed as something of a nightmare because of the haphazard and chaotic way some drivers park their cars which then blocks off others trying to drop off passengers. [/restrict]
