Table Tennis tournament

Tripoli, March 31: “The Libya Spring Table Tennis Tournament” is to take place at the Cordoba Hall in Tripoli on April 3 . . .[restrict]and 4.
Around 70 players will take participate in the event organised  by the Libyan General Union for Table Tennis. They include both male and female players.  All the participants previously took part and won first place in regional tournaments and now represent their region in the national finals.
The General Union of Table Tennis said that it had formed a committee to oversee the tournament, including arbitration and media committees, and that a meeting of representatives and participating clubs would be held prior to the tournament to determine the groupings.
Th president of the tournament’s organising committee and secretary-general of the union, Ridha Naseer Tuibi, said that the tournament would include individual sessions as well as one-off games.
He added that all stages of the tournament will consist of five games per match and that international rules  would be followed including those for dress code.
According to Mohammad Alamil, executive member the union as well as head of the media federation, very generous cash prizes will be awarded to the winners.
