Tripoli, 23 July 2013:
Zulal Water Technology (ZWT) has installed and commissioned a urgently required 300-cubic metres a day seawater reverse . . .[restrict]osmosis water plant at the Tajoura Cardiac Hospital.
The hospital, says ZWT, found itself in an emergency situation when one of its two water plants failed. ZWT won the subsequent tender for a turnkey replacement plant, issued by the Ministry of Health.
According to the company, the project took just five months to design, install and commission.
“ZWT’s engineering teams were mobilised immediately,” said a company announcement, “and the plant itself was fabricated to ZWT’s designs and specifications by a leading manufacturer of water plants in the Netherlands using the highest quality materials and latest RO technology”.
The Tajoura plant “should be able to service the hospital’s needs for many years to come”, the announcement says.
ZWT believes it won the contract because of its earlier experience in the Libyan water purification sector providing water plants within a short timeframe as well as its competitive pricing. In March, it was awarded a multi-million-dinar contract by Waha Oil Company for three turnkey reverse osmosis water plants for the company’s Gialo, Waha and Essider oil camps.
