Tripoli, 28 June 2013:

Turkish Airlines, which flies to four destinations in Libya, has won prestigious awards including ‘Best Airline in Europe,’ . . .[restrict]‘Best Airline in Southern Europe’ and ‘Best Business Class Catering.’

The acolades, bestowed in the 2013 Skytrax World Airline Awards, are based on passenger surveys conducted over a ten-month period at 148 airports. This was the third year in a row that the airline was awarded ‘Best Airline in Europe.’

Turkish Airlines said that it continued to consolidate its position as one of the world’s leading airlines with large orders for new aircraft and a continuously expanding route network.

The airline has increased its services in Libya. As well as flying routes to Benghazi, Misrata and Tripoli, in December last year it started flying twice-weekly to Sebha.
