Benghazi, 23 April 2103:

Obaidi’s car after the attack

An airforce warrant officer, Ashraf Obeidi, was shot in his vehicle outside his house in the Benghazi’s Fuwaihat . . .[restrict]district yesterday.  He was taken to Hawari Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The reason for the killing is unknown.

There have been a spate of killings of security officials in the city over the past year, although they have been less in the past couople of months. Almost all have the markings of contract killings. [/restrict]
