Dear Editor,
With reference to the article “Hotel investors will quit if they cannot demolish Benghazi’s Grand” on 19 November.
on Joseph Farrugia . . .[restrict]and Corinthia hotel.
Please, go ahead. Destroy Libya’s historical buildings. What do you have to loose? Its not a building in Malta.
“Unless we are given permission to demolish and rebuild, we just cannot develop that site. Then we pull out. We move out of Benghazi”.
As if the Libyan people of Benghazi are beggers and you’re their saver! Thank God we have yet to reach that stage.
“We had a few protests and we were asked again to suspend the demolition.” He described the protests as small and said said they were “mostly caused by misunderstandings”.
Where have we heard that line before?
If you would like to destroy anything, please do it in Malta.
Have a good day.
