The first phase of the Julyana project in Benghazi, which includes the construction of five modern bridges as part of the infrastructure development projects implemented by the Libya Development and Reconstruction Fund, were inaugurated yesterday.
The project was inaugurated by Khalifa Haftar and implemented by the Libya Development and Reconstruction Fund headed by his son Belgasim Khalifa Haftar. The opening ceremony was attended by the eastern based Prime Minister of Libya, Osama Hammad, several members of the House of Representatives, military and security leaders, in addition to the participation of the General Movement of Scouts and Guides.
The Fund says the project is one of the vital projects aimed at improving the flow of traffic and linking the city centre to its main axes, in parallel with the development of Lake Julyana and its transformation into a modern urban façade that enhances the urban landscape of the city of Benghazi.
