Sebha International Airport announced last Saturday (9 May) the reopening of its airspace starting at 12:00 midnight on the same day. This comes following the completion of maintenance work on the main runway and aprons.
It will be recalled that the airport was closed on 25 April for the announced maintenance work.
The airport said the work is part of ongoing efforts to improve operational efficiency and enhance safety standards at the airport, in preparation for the opening of the new terminal and a smoother flight experience.
The maintenance work was conducted by the National Development Agency (NDA) and its subcontracted company. Sebha airport said the maintenance work was completed within the specified timeframe and according to established technical specifications – thus contributing to the airport’s readiness and operational efficiency.
