Al-Sabah Mill at the Sirte Milling and Grinding Complex reopens

Sirte Municipality

The city of Sirte witnessed the reopening of the Al-Sabah Mill at the Sirte Milling and Grinding Complex, thanks to the efforts of the National Development Agency (NDA). This follows the completion of construction and the mill’s return to service, a crucial step towards revitalizing the city, Sirte Municipality and the NDA reported yesterday.

The factory’s rehabilitation and operation were completed in less than ten months, and it has now resumed production, becoming a significant contributor to the local economy.

Contributing to food security
The mill has five production lines and includes silos with a capacity of 1,000 tons each. It can process approximately 150 tons of flour and 35 tons of bran daily, enabling it to contribute to food security.

The reopening of the mill, Sirte Municipality added, represents renewed hope for vital initiatives, opening up significant opportunities for job creation and stimulating the local economy. This ensures the continued operation of essential services for the city’s residents and strengthens its stability.
