Tripoli based Libyan Prime Minister Abd Alhamid Aldabaiba met yesterday with a high-level delegation from Saudi Arabia’s Amiantit Group, a leading global manufacturer of Fluorite fiberglass tubes, which has more than five decades of experience and operates a wide network of factories and research centers around the world.
A representative of Communications Technology Connectivity Services, a subsidiary of Etihad Salam Telecommunications Company, which specializes in communications and information technology solutions, also participated in the meeting.
During the meeting, the two parties discussed ways to develop the partnership between Libya and the Saudi Arabia, in a way that contributes to supporting infrastructure projects and investment in the industrial and agricultural sectors and opens new horizons for cooperation.
This meeting comes after the signing of bilateral memorandums of understanding, which included cooperation with the Ministry of Housing and Construction in the fields of water transmission and distribution, sanitation, stormwater and flood drainage, the establishment of factories specialized in water and pipe technologies, in addition to the application of advanced solutions for water treatment and desalination.
The agreements also included cooperation with the Libyan Post, Telecommunications and Information Technology Holding Company to develop the telecommunications infrastructure in Libya, to enhance efforts to modernize the technical services and communications system.
