The President of Libya’s General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Mohamed Raied, led a high-level Libyan delegation on a visit to Serbia, where today he signed an MoU with Mihailo Vesović, Vice President of the Chamber of Economy and Industry of Serbia. Libya’s Ambassador to Serbia, Mohamed Ben Ghalbon, was present at the signing.

The signing ceremony was attended by Essam Al-Aoul, Chairman of the General Authority for Exhibitions and Conferences, Abdul Aziz Al-Shawish, Chairman of the Privatisation and Investment Board (PIB), and several Libyan businessmen, along with the Serbian Deputy Minister of Internal and Foreign Trade and the Director of the North Africa and Middle East Department at the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The General Union of Chambers said the signing of this MoU comes within the framework of the Tripoli based Libyan government’s efforts to strengthen economic and trade relations between Libya and Serbia.

It said it establishes the foundations for cooperation between the two sides, contributing to facilitating and encouraging economic activities and expanding the areas of trade and investment cooperation between the two countries.
