The Renewable Energy Authority of Libya (REAoL) announced last Saturday (8 November) the organization of a specialized workshop in the coming period entitled: ‘‘Mechanisms for Participation and Investment between the Public and Private Sectors in the Field of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency and the Challenges Facing Them’’.
REAoL says this workshop comes within the framework of implementing the National Strategy for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency and based on its vision to enhance the role of the private sector as a key partner in building a clean energy future in Libya.
It also comes in recognition of REAoL’s commitment to empowering the private sector to be an active partner in leading a new phase of investment in renewable energy and energy efficiency, and building a secure and sustainable energy future for Libya.
The workshop aims to:
• Enhance cooperation between the public and private sectors.
• Discuss the challenges and opportunities in renewable energy projects.
• Support the state’s efforts to achieve a fair and sustainable energy transition.
• Envisioning the role of the regulatory and legislative framework in enhancing private sector participation and contributing to the development of the renewable energy and energy efficiency sector.
