Zallaf Oil Exploration, Production, and Refining Company reported today that it had ‘‘achieved a significant milestone with the export of its first shipment of oil and condensate from the Al-Shadar field, totalling over 600,000 barrels of high-quality Sidra crude’’.
The company’s operations management confirmed that this shipment is the culmination of continuous efforts since the field’s opening in January 2015 and reflects the company’s commitment to its strategic plans aimed at increasing production rates according to the highest technical and engineering standards.
Zallaf said Al-Shadar field is one of its promising fields, where more than five development wells have been completed in the first phase of the project. Development work continues to increase production rates, in line with the National Oil Corporation’s vision to achieve higher oil and gas production levels.
