Libya’s state National Oil Corporation (NOC) reported yesterday that it had held an expanded meeting on the same day at its Tripoli headquarters with a delegation from America’s Halliburton, headed by Vice President for North Africa, Ahmed Helmy, and the company’s General Manager in Libya, Mohamed El-Telisi.
The meeting was attended by NOC Chairman, Masoud Sulieman, Board Member, Ahmed Ammar, and a number of directors of the NOC’s technical departments.
The meeting included a technical workshop entitled “NOC – Halliburton Technology Workshop,” in which the company showcased its most prominent services and solutions in the fields of drilling, well maintenance, production enhancement, and stimulation technologies, in addition to the latest digital applications used in managing oil operations.
The NOC reported that during the meeting, the NOC Chairman praised the importance of cooperation with leading international companies such as Halliburton to exchange expertise and enhance national competencies, which contributes to the development of Libya’s oil sector and raises the level of technical performance.
For its part, the NOC reported, Halliburton affirmed its readiness to support the NOC’s programmes in the areas of training and knowledge transfer.
