Samir Al-Nabal, Head of the Marine Services Department at Benghazi’s Julyana Free Zone Port, reported at the start of September that the port received 71 commercial vessels during August.
These included:
- 36 container ships
- Five ships carrying cars
- 10 ships transporting bulk cement
- Two ships carrying asphalt
- One ship carrying barley
- Four ships carrying general cargo
Al-Nabal explained that the port’s oil berth also received 13 fuel tankers during the same period, carrying quantities of gasoline, diesel, cooking gas, and heavy fuel oil.
He pointed out that the Julyana Free Zone administration has deployed all necessary capabilities to ensure the safe and rapid unloading of arriving vessels, while ensuring the completion of the required customs and administrative procedures to release the goods and deliver them to their owners without delay.
