The UNDP Libya announced last Monday (15 September) that the Ministry of Planning, the Libyan National Centre for Standardization and Metrology, UNDP, and the EU have jointly launched Libya’s first national energy efficiency standards and labelling system.
The new Minimum Energy Performance Standards (MEPS) aim to reduce electricity consumption, improve product quality, and support national climate goals.
A digital dashboard was also introduced to help track implementation and inform future policy.
