USLBA’s ‘‘Libyan American Forum for Development and Reconstruction’’ starts in Washington D.C. from 28 to 29 April

The U.S.-Libya Business Association’s (USLBA) ‘‘Libyan American Forum for Development and Reconstruction’’ (28 to 29 April) opened in Washington D.C. yesterday.

The event is held in collaboration with the Libya Development and Reconstruction Fund , led by its Director General, Belgasem Khalifa Hafter.

The USLBA says the event convenes senior officials, business leaders, and investors to chart the next chapter of the U.S.-Libya economic and strategic partnership.



Featured Speakers Include:
● LTG (Ret.) Mike Nagata, Former Commander, U.S. Special Operations
Command–Central (SOCCENT) — on regional stability and strategic opportunity
● Carol Jenkins, CEO, World Learning — on education and workforce development
● Chidi Blyden-Rowe, Former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Africa — on security cooperation and policy strategy
● Maggie Sprenger, Co-Founder, Audere Capital — on frontier markets and investment trends
● Jags Kandasamy, CEO, LatentAI — on artificial intelligence, edge computing, and Libya’s digital future

The Forum will feature targeted sessions in:

The USLBA said the event will include high-level insights, deal-making opportunities, and curated B2B networking designed to accelerate progress across sectors critical to Libya’s development and U.S. strategic interests.
