Libya and Greece discussed mechanisms to activate the memorandum of understanding signed between the Libyan Investment Authority and Enterprise Greece in 2021 on renewable energy projects in Libya.‎

‎The discussions took place in Athens yesterday between Ali Mahmoud Hassan, Chairman and Executive Director of the LIA, in a meeting at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with Tasos Chatzivasileiou, Undersecretary of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs in charge of Economic Diplomacy and Openness.‎

‎During the meeting, the two parties discussed ways to enhance economic and investment cooperation between the LIA and its counterparts from Greek institutions and companies and focused on mechanisms to activate the memorandum of understanding signed between the LIA and Enterprise Greece in 2021.‎

‎The MoU, which was signed during the visit of a Greek government delegation to Tripoli in 2021, aims to cooperate in the field of renewable energy projects inside Libya, reflecting the keenness of both parties to develop strategic partnerships that enhance sustainable investment opportunities between the two countries.‎
