In his speech during the opening, the Prime Minister stressed that the exhibition represents a long-standing economic edifice and a witness to the development of the Libyan economy, and an essential platform for communication and openness to the world.
Aldabaiba pointed out that the centenary of the exhibition is not just a point in time, but a symbol of the national will and proof of Libya’s ability to rise and restore its economic role in the region, and that the government pays attention to the exhibitions and conferences sector as a tributary to support the national economy, strengthen international partnerships and encourage investment.
The PM toured the exhibition’s corridors, during which he was briefed on the various pavilions and participations, praising the level of organization and the size of international participation.
The exhibition will include parallel activities, including Saturday’s bicycle race, which is held in a historical tradition of the fair since its inception in 1926, as well as a documentary exhibition “Mathaf” that reviews the exhibition’s journey from 1926 to 2026, reflecting the depth of this economic edifice and its century-long history.
