AGOCO meets Solar Turbines and Caterpillar officials

AGOCO reactivates stalled old Nafoura well to produce 1,200 bpd

Mohamed Bin Shatwan, Chairman of the Arabian Gulf Oil Company (AGOCO), met yesterday, Derek Burke, President of Solar Turbines, Enrique Pangesis, Regional Manager of Solar Turbines in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East, and Ossel Vian, General Manager of Caterpillar.‎

‎Bin Shatwan presented a shield to Solar Turbines Company in appreciation of their achievement in the turbines of the Sarir field, thanking them for their efforts in receiving and operating the project.

Service centre for spare parts and maintenance
He urged them to establish a service and maintenance centre near Libya to provide the necessary spare parts and complete maintenance work, with the importance of training many Libyans, confirming the efficiency of the national cadres in operation and his confidence in their professionalism.‎

‎Bin Shatwan asked for speedy implementation in the maintenance of mobile turbines in the Sarir field that need overhauling, noting that the success of AGOCO is linked to the success of Solar.

Caterpillar ready to provide the necessary support
In turn, AGOCO reported, the General Manager of Caterpillar confirmed their readiness to provide the necessary support and assistance in the maintenance and change of equipment of oil companies in general.‎
