The Tripoli based Libyan government officially endorsed its 2026-2050 National Water Security Strategy, taking a massive step toward combating water scarcity and building climate resilience.
Developed with support from UNDP and the Government of Italy, this landmark strategy aims to protect vital natural resources, upgrade aging infrastructure, and ensure clean water for future generations. It marks a crucial shift from “meeting demand at any cost” to efficient, sustainable management that aligns with #SDG6.
The UNDP said it is proud to stand with Libya, and all its partners as we move from strategy design to impactful, on-the-ground action!
