American oil companies, led by ConocoPhillips, intend to participate in Libya’s future oil projects.

‎The news was reported by the Tripoli Libyan government after Tripoli based Libyan Prime Minister, ‎Abd Alhamid Aldabaiba, followed up, Wednesday (22 May), on the results of the visit of the Acting Minister of Oil and Gas, Khalifa Abdel Sadig, to the United States.

Abdel Sadig had held meetings during his U.S. visit with major U.S. oil and gas companies.

Increasing oil and gas production to 2 million barrels/pd
Aldabaiba also followed up on the ministry’s plan for the return of major American companies operating in the oil and gas sector and increasing their activity within ‎Libya in order to contribute to the National Oil Corporation’s (NOC) plan to raise oil and gas production to 2 million barrels.‎

‎ConocoPhillips to visit Tripoli
Abdel Sadig stressed that American companies, led by ConocoPhillips, intend to participate in the projects and explorations that the NOC intends to offer, and the company’s desire to visit and meet with the Prime Minister to present its vision on expanding its activity inside Libya.‎
