A delegation from Italian Civil Aviation visited Misrata Airport on Monday as part of the ongoing preparations to start operating flights between the airport and Italian airports.
Misrata Airport reported that the team seeks to evaluate the security and operational procedures adopted at the airport and the extent of their conformity with international operating standards.
The Italian delegation’s audit team reviewed the various supplies and equipment available at the airport and the extent to which they conform to the required quality standards. It also inspected all airport facilities, with the aim of verifying the extent to which these procedures comply with civil aviation security standards.
The team is scheduled to leave on Wednesday.
