Britain’s Healing Little Hearts charity starts fifth free children’s surgery visit to Libya‎

The medical team from Britain’s Healing Little Hearts charity has arrived in Tripoli to perform open-heart surgery on children with congenital heart defects from 11 to 17 March (Photo: Healing Little Hearts).

The medical team from Britain’s Healing Little Hearts charity has arrived in Tripoli to perform open-heart surgery on children with congenital heart defects from 11 to 17 March. Yesterday, they conducted their first operation since their arrival.

They expect to complete 8 to 10 operations, which will be free of charge, at the National Health Centre in Tajoura. The team consists of nine members including nursing, anaesthesiologists, care, blood technician and paediatric cardiologist, led by paediatric heart surgeon Professor Massimo Caputo from Bristol Royal Hospital for Children, England.‎
