Libya announces 61 investment projects in various sectors

Tripoli, 10 December 2021:

At a lavish event held at the JW Marriot hotel in Tripoli, Libya’s Privatisation and Investment Board (PIB) announced the launch of 61 investment projects in nine sectors/sub sectors across the country.

During his speech at the event, the Minister of Economy and Trade, Mohamed Hwej, stressed that this step is a new economic stage based on human development and includes industrial, agricultural and service activities, achieving economic diversification and enhancing the role of the investment and trade sectors in doubling the total output of the Libyan state.

Here is a list of the announced projects:

First – in the field of real estate investment.

1- Al Seraj Mall.

2- Al-Tawfiq Housing Investment Complex.

3- Jinan, a smart Libyan city.

4- Andalus Mall.

5- Al-Bustan Commercial Mall.

Second, in the field of education.

1- Close Combat System Academy.

2- The Libyan British School for International and Local Education.

3- University of London.

4- Leadership schools for private education.

Third: the field of services.

1- Qusreyah port investment.

2- Automatic meat dispenser.

3- Oya Zacks.

4- Banan Oil Services.

5- Technology of networking, computing and electronic management.

6- Administrative service center.

7- Extreme Sports and Recreation Center.

Fourth: The field of agriculture and animal production.

1- Ras Al Dahab for marine fishing and aquaculture.

2- Table eggs production station with all its attachments.

Fifthly: the field of tourism.

1- Re-operating and developing the Sousse tourist resort.

2- Development, management and operation of Banour Tourist Resort.

3- Bab Tobruk Hotel.

4- Al-Wafa Tourist Village

5- Ras Al Hamra Tourist Village.

6- Saaf center for swimming and hydrotherapy.

7- Tarsu tourist resort.

8- Mediterranean resort.

Sixth: the field of health.

1- Management and operation of the Specifications Hospital.

2- Rena Center integrated dialysis center and allied medical services.

Seventh: The field of industry.

1- Al-Khairat farms for the manufacture of fodder.

2- Mediterranean roasting and grinding coffee.

3- Global Plains of Feed Industry.

4- Al-Shumoukh Plastic Industries.

5- Global Chemical Industries.

6- El Himma for the manufacture of concrete panels and building materials.

7- Development of Al-Noor Company for milling grains and hitting rice.

8- Technology, desalination and bottling of drinking water.

9- Al-Bawariq Complex for Chemical Industries.

10- Al-Salam Refinery for Oil and Gas Refining.

11- Al-Shula refinery for oil and gas refining.

12- Factory of fiberglass and plastic gas cylinders.

13- Akakus Factory for the Cement Industry.

14- The National Advanced Development Factory for Feed and Poultry.

15- Al-Jabal Factory for the manufacture of gypsum boards.

16- Al-Manara Factory for the collection and recycling of waste and waste.

17 – Dates packing and packaging factory and the manufacture of dates jam.

18 – Slough Factory for the manufacture of fodder of all kinds.

19 – Factory manufacturing and canning tomatoes.

20- Kimco Libya Factory.

21- Factory for the production of tomato salt.

22-a factory for the manufacture of gypsum boards.

23-Al-Marwa Group Factory for Flour Industry.

24- Nour Factory for Food Industry.

25-Wadi Barqa, the hadith is arranged.

Eighth: the field of energy.

1- Lebanon for alternative energy.

2- Matress for biofuel production.

3- Source for renewable energy projects.

4- Solar panels and benches factory.

Ninth: The field of transportation.

1- Management, development and investment of Ghadames Airport.

2- Aviation for express air transportation and handling services.

3-Development, management and investment of an airport arranged.

4- Benina International Airport passenger terminal.
