Most of the ‘‘Made in Libya’’ exhibition space already allocated: Libya Industrial Union

By Sami Zaptia.

The ”Made in Libya” conference and exhibition will be held in Tunis from 23 to 27 November (Logo: Libya Industry Union).

Tripoli, 1 November 2021:

Most of the space allocated for the ‘‘Made in Libya’’ exhibition has already been reserved by industrial companies, Libyan and Tunisian banks, Libyan and Tunisian government institutions, and international institutions, co-organizers the Libya Industrial Union (LIU) revealed yesterday.

The maiden event will take place in Tunis between 23-27 November

Some of the important international institutions that have confirmed their participation include the Islamic Development Bank Group in Jeddah which will participate with a number of its affiliated institutions and will hold a workshop to introduce the bank and the services it provides.

The International Finance Corporation (IFC), a branch of the World Bank specializing in financing private sector projects, will also participate and will make a presentation to introduce the institution and the services it provides.

The Arab Organization for Industrial Development, Standardization and Mining will also be participating, the LIU said.

‘‘Made in Libya’’

It will be recalled that the maiden ‘‘Made in Libya’’ event was first revealed by Industry and Minerals Minister Ahmed Abuhisa in July this year. The event is co-organized by the LIU and involves 150 Libyan companies and entities.

The event is aimed at activating partnerships and integration between Tunisia and Libya. It will also work to crystallize a common approach towards African, European and other markets to achieve Tunisian-Libyan economic pairing at local, regional and international levels.

Technical workshops will be organized and activated between the two sides as a result of the event.
