London, 28 September 2021:

Spanish lawyers representing more than 150 Spanish companies visited Libya’s Privatization and Investment Board (PIB) at its Tripoli headquarters yesterday, the PIB reported.

The PIB said the Spanish delegation wished to learn about the nature of investment in Libya, and the possible aspects of cooperation between the two countries, especially the private sector.

The attendees reviewed the PIB’s plan to implement a number of investment projects in partnership with the private sector and the possibility of completing the stalled projects within the framework of the Government of National Unity’s action plan to move the wheel of development in the country and support the national economy.

The Chairman of the PIB affirmed its keenness to enhance cooperation with Spanish companies, establish a real partnership in the field of investment, implement projects in all regions of the country according to the investment map, and search for promising opportunities with the participation of the local and foreign private sector.
