The spokesperson for the Tripoli-based Libyan Foreign Ministry, Ahmed al-Arbud, today denied reports by some Libyan media outlets of an attempted kidnap of the Chinese Chargé d’affaires.
The spokesperson confirmed that Chargé d’affaires Wang Choath is carrying out his duties as usual and has contacted him directly to confirm his safety and the safety of all members of the Chinese mission without exception.
Al-Arbud stressed that the circulated news of the attempted kidnapping was untrue, a fabrication, pure slander and lies, which did not happen and is a tale of fantasy weaved by the promoters of lies.
