Libya’s Tripoli based Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation announced that 25 of its officials are participating in a specialised training programme that commenced today in Beijing.

It said this comes as part of the efforts to develop and enhance the capabilities of its diplomatic personnel, strengthen cooperation between Libya and China, and benefit from the training scholarship programmes offered by friendly countries.

The programme is organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture of China.

The training programme
The training programme covers a range of topics related to diplomacy, including the priorities of China's foreign policy, international relations, and prospects for bilateral cooperation between the two countries. It also includes field visits introducing participants to China's cultural heritage and its remarkable economic and industrial development.

The programme will be held in Beijing from 6 to 26 August 2026 and reflects the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening the professional capacities of its diplomatic staff and expanding cooperation with academic and training institutions in friendly countries, thereby contributing to the further development of bilateral relations between Libya and China.
