The Libyan Chinese Joint Economic Chamber announced last Tuesday (8 October) the imminent opening of the Chinese embassy in Libya.

It said this was a qualitative leap to strengthen relations between the two countries. It added that this achievement came thanks to the strong diplomatic efforts of the (Tripoli based) Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the efforts of the Chargé d’Affaires at the Libyan Embassy in the People’s Republic of China, Khaled Al-Sayeh.

The Chamber also expresses its appreciation to the Chinese Embassy for its continuous support and efforts in overcoming obstacles and facilitating joint operations.‎

‎This progress, it continued, highlights the commitment of the two countries to develop partnership and cooperation relations to serve common interests and open new horizons for economic and investment cooperation.‎
