The Libyan Export Development Authority (LEDA) reported yesterday that its head, Mohamed Al-Hangari, received Hicham El-Rafqi, Deputy Consul General of Morocco.
The meeting focused on ways to enhance cooperation in export development and to advance economic and trade relations between Libya and Morocco.
Discussions covered mechanisms for activating cooperation between the two sides and fostering communication between public and private sector institutions. These efforts aim to boost trade activity, open new avenues for Libyan products, and capitalize on available opportunities to increase trade and investment exchanges between the two nations.
The two sides also discussed the implementation of cooperation initiatives stemming from the recently signed Memorandum of Understanding between the LEDA and the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development. These initiatives are intended to support non-oil export development and strengthen the presence of Libyan products in regional and international markets.
Both parties emphasized the importance of continued coordination and cooperation to serve the economic interests of the two nations, achieve development goals, and reinforce the economic partnership between Libya and Morocco.
