LIDCO discusses with Turkey mechanisms to reactivate stalled projects and new projects

ESDF and subsidiary LIDCO hold meeting with KPMG to follow up on financial evaluation within ESDF’s programme for subsidiary companies

The General Manager of the state Libyan Investment and Development Company (LIDCO), Tariq Al-Shaafi, received, last Wednesday (1 April), the Commercial Attaché of the Republic of Turkey, Saat Uzbek, in coordination with the Head of the Executive Team for the President’s Initiatives and Strategic Projects, Mustafa Al-Mana.

The reception was attended by LIDCO’s Director of the Company’s Financial Department, and Director of Construction and Implementation Department.

Within framework of Libyan Turkish government committee
This visit comes within the framework of the work of the Libyan Turkish Committee formed between the Tripoli government and the Turkish Government.

Discussing all projects involving Turkish companies
The meeting discussed the situation of Turkish joint ventures with LIDCO, the projects that have been stalled or are currently being implemented and overcoming all the difficulties and obstacles they face.

The General Manager of LIDCO, accompanied by the managers, provided a full explanation of the size of the projects and contracts concluded with Turkish companies, and put forward suggestions on the mechanisms for reactivating these projects and the return of the companies to activate their projects.

Establishing new partnerships for several new projects
In addition, establishing new partnerships with other companies through several projects that will be launched by LIDCO in the near future, were also discussed.

The Turkish Commercial Attaché, LIDCO reported, expressed his admiration for the solutions and mechanisms proposed by the company, and his readiness to support them with the executive authorities and agencies in the Libyan state.
