Minister of Transport Mohammed Al-Shahoubi held a meeting yesterday with Taher Al-Baour, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and others, to follow up on the latest developments regarding the tanker “Badr,” which is being held in the port of Burgas, Bulgaria.

The attendees agreed to move forward with the implementation of a joint work programme that combines the legal and political tracks, in order to support the implementation of the issued judicial rulings and enhance communication with the competent authorities in Bulgaria. This, in order to ensure the protection of the rights of the Libyan state and the GNMTC.
The meeting was attended by Wissam Al-Idrisi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transportation for Administrative Affairs and Maritime Transport; Abubakr Saeed, the Libyan Ambassador to Bulgaria; Diaa Bakra, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Maritime Transport Company; several department directors from the company; and the Director of the European Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
