The newly installed Minister of Industry and Minerals, Mohamed Abdel Gader, chaired the first ordinary meeting of the Ministry and its affiliated entities today, to launch the Ministry’s work plan within the 100-day phase. This comes in implementation of the Tripoli Prime Minister’s directives, aimed at promoting the industry and minerals sector and supporting the national economy.
The meeting focused on a number of key axes, most notably strengthening institutional building, digital transformation, and developing the governance system, in addition to supporting coordination and integration between the Ministry’s entities, in a way that contributes to raising the efficiency of performance and achieving tangible results.

The meeting touched on the preparations for the ministerial meeting of Arab Ministers of Industry in Libya, which will be hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, within the framework of strengthening Arab cooperation, opening wider horizons for the industrial sector, and supporting the private sector’s opportunities to enter Arab markets.
The Minister stressed the importance of the actual start of the implementation of digital transformation programmes, raising performance rates, and committing to implementing plans according to specific timetables, in order to ensure the achievement of the directives of the Prime Minister in the development and advancement of the industrial and minerals sector.
