Sirte Oil Company reported last Friday (20 February) the successful drilling and completion of the horizontal well C345H in the Ziltan (L4) reservoir with production a rate exceeding 2,000 barrels per day. The company said the well boasts a horizontal cross-section exceeding 1,300 feet and utilizes the latest directional drilling and high-precision reservoir guidance technologies.
Sirte Oil Company said it has adopted and expanded the use of directional and horizontal drilling technologies in the belief in their importance in maximizing reservoir utilization and increasing production efficiency.
This long-term strategic vision, it added, has yielded a qualitative achievement. As part of its strategic plan to enhance crude oil production and develop its reservoirs, the company achieved a new technical success through this in the Zaltan field.
It explained that this reflects the precision of the execution, the quality of the design, and the excellent site selection, underscoring the reservoir’s promising production potential and opportunities for further development.
