The Spanish Embassy in Tripoli announced yesterday that its new visa application centre for Schengen visas opened in Benghazi, with the presence of its consul. The Embassy said the centre will bring visa services closer to Libyan citizens residing in eastern Libya, similar to the service provided at the centre in Tripoli since November 2023.
Visa applications in Benghazi will be processed through a centre managed by BLS, equivalent to the one already operating in Tripoli, which the Embassy revealed had processed more than 8,000 visas to date.
Both centers will also begin processing national visa applications in February, which the Embassy said will improve the service provided to all Libyan citizens.
