Last Friday (12 December), the Anti-Security Threats Agency, reported that criminal militiaman, Ahmed Omar Al-Fetouri Al-Dabashi, nicknamed “Al-Amu,” was killed during a security operation.
This follows an armed attack by on one of the Anti-Security Threats Agency’s checkpoints, near the hospital intersection in the city of Sabratha by criminal gangs affiliated with Ahmed Omar Al-Fetouri Al-Dabashi “Al-Amu,” who is internationally wanted for human trafficking, drug trafficking, and murder.
The Anti-Security Threats Agency said that following an authorization issued by the Public Prosecutor, its agency units raided the criminal gang’s hideout. The operation resulted in the arrest of Saleh Al-Dabashi, while the criminal Ahmed Omar Al-Fetouri Al-Dabashi (“Al-Amu”) was killed during the operation.
The attack on the checkpoint also resulted in six agency members sustaining severe injuries; they were immediately transported to the hospital and admitted to the intensive care unit for treatment.
