Benghazi’s Jalyana Free Zone Port last Sunday (9 November) that it had received 20 new 2025 Terberg trucks, manufactured in the Netherlands, as part of its fleet modernization plan.
The head of the Machinery Office, Mohammed Lasifer, explained that the new trucks are characterized by high efficiency and a modern technological system that can be linked to the NAVIS system to pinpoint container positions via the truck’s screen, thus facilitating transport operations within the port.
He added that the accompanying trailers can carry containers weighing up to 65 tons and transporting containers ranging from 20 to 40 feet, with ease of manoeuvrability in tight spaces thanks to their streamlined design.
With the arrival of this new batch, he added, the total number of trucks operating at the port has reached 110, distributed as follows:
40 Iveco trucks
50 Ford trucks,
20 Terberg trucks.
Some of these trucks are used for handling and storage, while others transport containers to and from the Ganfuda terminal.
