Tripoli Libyan government’s official tendering and procurement website ‘‘Attaat’’ is operational

The Tripoli Libyan government's official procurement and tenders' website, ''Attaat'' website is operational (Logo: GIA).

‎The Tripoli Libyan government’s official tendering and procurement website, ‘‘Attaat’’ (Tenders), is operational, the General Information Authority (GIA) announced yesterday.

‎The GIA says the website is the official digital initiative to manage and follow up on government tenders and procurement through a unified, transparent, and smart interface.‎

It comes, it adds, as part of the efforts of the (Tripoli) government to enhance transparency and consolidate the principle of fairness in public spending.

The GIA released statistics from the Attaat website for July 2025‎ which revealed:

  • 189 government entities published tender requests through the platform‎
  • 626 bids were announced during the month‎
  • Total entities registered on the platform were 840‎

‎ The most active entities during July 2025 were:‎

  • ‎ Misrata Medical Centre – 25 tenders‎
  • Asmara Islamic University – 21 tenders‎
  • ‎Al-Khums Medical Centre – 15 tenders‎
  • National Centre for Cardiac Treatment and Surgery – 14 tenders‎

‎The most prominent items included in the tenders were:‎

  • ‎Stationery & Printing (154)‎
  • ‎Pharmaceuticals & Medical Equipment (143)‎
  • ‎Commodity Expenditure (94)‎
  • ‎Maintenance Expenses (92)‎
  • ‎Professional & Technical Services (74)‎
  • ‎Operational Software Parts (27)‎
