Ministry of Health discusses ways to enhance health cooperation‎ with the Ambassador of Serbia

‎The Tripoli based Undersecretary General of the Ministry of Health / Acting Minister of Health, Mohamed Ali Al-Ghouj, received the Ambassador of Serbia to Libya, Dragan Todorovic, in the presence of the Director of the International Cooperation Department at the Ministry, to discuss the prospects of bilateral cooperation in the health field.‎

The Ministry of Health discusses ways to enhance health cooperation with the Serbian Ambassador. The meeting dealt with:

  • The activation of the memorandums of understanding signed between the two sides
  • The expansion of partnership areas to include the exchange of doctors, training in the fields of general and emergency medicine, clinical pharmacy and drug inspection.‎
  • The exchange of professors between academic institutions
  • The implementation of twinning programmes between hospitals
  • The development of specialised nursing programmes
  • Cooperation in the fields of pharmaceutical manufacturing‎

The two parties also agreed to organise and exchange technical visits, and to form a Libyan technical delegation to visit Serbia during the coming period, to follow up on the implementation of joint programmes and learn about opportunities for practical cooperation‎.
