The Libyan Business Council (LBC) reported last Tuesday (7 October) that the previous day its Executive Management received the Ambassador of Serbia at its Tripoli headquarters to discuss opportunities to develop economic cooperation between Libya and Serbia at the private sector level.
Libyan Serbian Business Forum
The LBC said the meeting focused primarily on preparations for the Libyan Serbian Business Forum, scheduled to be held in Belgrade at the end of this year. This forum will provide a platform for exploring investment opportunities and expanding partnerships between the private sectors of both countries.
The meeting also discussed ways to facilitate the movement of businesspeople between the two countries, develop cooperation in the trade, industry, and services sectors, and support practical and effective economic integration between Libya and Serbia.
Several Serbian companies already operating in Libya in partnership with private sector
The Serbian Ambassador noted that several Serbian companies have already begun operating in Libya through successful partnerships with the Libyan private sector, emphasizing his country’s aspiration to expand this cooperation through economic forums and joint investment initiatives.
Establishing a Serbian-Libyan training centre
The discussion also touched on the project to establish a Serbian Libyan training centre, which aims to develop competencies, exchange expertise, and transfer knowledge to support human resource development and contribute to capacity building.
