Tripoli based Libyan Prime Minister, Abdel Hamid Aldabaiba, followed up on the upcoming opening of a British visa issuance centre in Tripoli, after more than 10 years of hiatus, with the aim of facilitating travel procedures and strengthening bilateral relations.
The matter was discussed yesterday during Aldabaiba’s meeting with the British Ambassador to Libya, Martin Longden, where they discussed several areas of cooperation between Libya and the United Kingdom.
The two sides, meeting at the Tripoli Cabinet Office, also discussed the English language teaching improvement initiative announced by the Prime Minister. This aims to improve the quality of education and provide training opportunities for teachers and students, as part of enhancing the skills of Libyan youth and preparing them for the labour market.
According to the Tripoli government, Aldabaiba stressed during the meeting the importance of developing cooperation between the two countries, while the British Ambassador reiterated his country’s commitment to supporting Libya in various fields.
